Working on the considerable photos from our cruise around the British Isles in May. The first port was St. Peter Port on the island of Guernsey. To the east of the port are the islands of Herm and Jethou; we passed them as the sun rose that morning after departing Southampton in southern England the previous evening.
The next day found us visiting Cobh in southern Ireland.
We made it over to the far bog again the other day in hopes of catching some ducks. While we were waiting along the open water section of the bog, a young (probably) male turkey flew down the trail and landed not 30 yards from us.
This is the closest we can get to a Woodbury Pond Monster. Not very big, although with imagination and some advanced fake news marketing, it could be really big? It is probably a muskrat, probably not a beaver.
