Not sure totally if this is an osprey. The broadened tail throws me off (but the tail feather pattern looks correct, as does the rest) and it was flying over a nearby lake at the time.

Our walk down to the Woodbury pond four days ago (Apr-16) brought us back to winter. Plenty of shoreline ice. We have caught a few ducks in the water here but they fly away before we can get very close.
