We visited Mystic this past weekend and found a number of natural inhabitants hanging about. This egret was at the Ice Pond for a good while and stayed put as I crept slowly toward it.

Later in the day, there were an amazing number of turtles sunning themselves. There were also a few hanging about the other clumps of debris in the north end of the pond (see follow up to next image).
