
The beaver dam just downstream from bridge echo (see previous post) is now fully exposed due to the drought conditions here. I have marked the dam with yellow highlights to clarify its extent. It appears that much of the wood making up the structure is covered with soil. The stream center is about one-quarter of the distance from the left side.
On the left side of the image is a pile of harvested and de-barked branches awaiting deployment, I am guessing. Further left of this area (not shown) is an extensive pile of wood. It rises up the steep shoreline from the usual stream surface and It looks like they enter it below waterline. I am concluding it is one of their domiciles.
