During a Saturday afternoon walk [in CT], Uncle Tom spotted a collusion of egrets on the west side of the Ice Pond. He alerted the photo dept. and a team hustled down to the pond. There were at least ten or twelve, probably more. They were spread out in the trees to right and left.
It has been suggested that a coming batch of inclement weather may be the reason for this sudden visit in numbers.
In our backyard is at least one big tree overturned by the October storm of 2018 (or was it 2017 ??). I have a game camera surveying the site and we catch the cats on it frequently. Here is Jasper prowling around.
