Finally we have Ice In

We reached day 300 of our Pandemic-challenged retirement. The pond is iced-over despite many consecutive days where mid-day temperatures have been above freezing.
For the first time ever, we have found a pond side residence sporting a “hand made” ice skating rink. This is right at the shoreline where the local snow machine trail proceeds over the lake. While skaters are being brave, I am surprised the machiniacs are getting onto the ice right now (but, then, if over 70 million people voted for Trump, intelligence is not a wide-spread phenomena right now, either).
We have been hunkered down over the holiday season. We have not ventured anywhere except Sam’s Club or the infrequent appointment. Attendance at the Kiwanis club or various meetings have been Zoomed.
