First snow

We had our first snow of the season last Sunday-Monday, with two inches falling. This snow was expected to melt away quickly on Monday but the promised 40F temperatures barely arrived and overcast skies limited the sun’s effect. We still have dollups of snow in shady corners.
Frost is here almost every morning. We would like to report we went to Mars this morning and took pictures of the surface ice (see second image below); of course, the other great discovery was that Mars is fully supporting a population of oak trees similar to earth species. Since there is near-zero probability that these oaks could have evolved to exact replicas of earth-based versions, this proves that God put them there, yee-haw!
