We went down to the pond on Monday evening thinking it would be quiet due to the holiday visitors leaving. Not so much. There were multitudes of boats, fast and slow, traveling around. Most interesting was finding six loons just off our wooded landing. This was the second time we have found so many here (usually we may find one or two, and that has been rare). The loons appeared to be unconcerned about the boat traffic.
