Thursday evening was our almost annual trip down to Boothbay harbor for a cruise with the local Kiwanis club members. This year there was no lobster dinner but a “three-hour cruise” from Boothbay over to Southport island. Leaving Southport Isl. and before we entered Sheepscot Bay, we passed the osprey nest on hazard marker No. 7. Three relatively young birds were hanging out there.

We had one of the finest evenings of the summer with a nice sunset.
