Mid-day at Poggy bay
During a near noon visit to the marsh end of Poggy bay today, we encountered an unknown bird – which we think is the glossy ibis; two of them were on the grass as we approached and then they went airborne right over us; and then we found the familiar heron, the species now found on practically every visit. Today we saw at least four of them either on posts, on mud flats, or standing among the marsh grasses.
