This is our view of Pleasant Pond during our walk between our recent days of rain. We have migrated into Spring and are challenged by the inconsistency of nice days and end-the-drought days. Yes, we are allegedly in a “moderate” drought condition.
We are getting Spring plants sprouting, blooming, and growing. The tree leaves are appearing and I will be continuing the ‘no-more-mow’ policy adopted a year or so ago: it looks like I will have to do some raking along the front entrance to let the perennials grow to their fullest. Last week we got the first hummingbirds and the frog peepers have started to sound from the bog.
