This evening, a large group of turkeys went through the backyard, past the garage to the road, turned around when a car approached, and then scurried down the rail trail just as I got to the corner of the garage with my camera. The 5:30pm time provided little light but software is a miracle.
Peak autumn time
Today we went beyond the beaver bog and over to the no-name pond (see above). The reds are still here and we are getting to peak color. The beaver bog itself (at left and below right) has a very impressive color wall. This year has been the best foliage in a long time. The image at bottom left is from another bog east of us from last weekend.
