The deployment of the hummingbird feeder several weeks ago has seen regular visits every day. It has now gotten to the point where several female birds are fighting each other for access. As far as I can tell, these are two different birds. The one below will land, as shown, on the cross bar and survey the field. If another bird approaches, it will jump up and attack!
Of the many seasonal avians showing up over the last month or two is this bird, an eastern phoebe, I think. It is noisy and flits around everywhere. The bird is elevated into a pain in the arse when it decides it needs to build nests under the front step roof, on the light boxes in the garage, or on the outdoor light boxes on the garage front walls. This happens every year no matter how many stuffed animals and other barriers we put up.
Go away, little bird, Go Away!
