Republican caucus visit

A bunch of Republicans showed up in our yard this morning. Not sure if they were looking for missing electoral college votes for Trump or was concerned we were wearing our masks too much.

We had about an inch of snow late last night to add to the six inches or so we acquired earlier in the week. Our temperatures have been unusually colder than normal this time of year, resulting in our snow remaining around and not immediately thawing soon after arriving.

Winter week

We received about five inches of really wet snow last Saturday. It was freezing by the morning and the weight and hardness resulted in a broken wheelbarrow, a deformed metal picnic table on the back deck, and ice and snow covered decks and stairs. Uncharacteristically, we then had four or five days that never went above freezing, so all this Stuff hung around, to be periodically chipped at and cussed over.

There have been a few hunters (the end of deer season approaches) in the nearby woods but no others, such as snow machiniacs or ATVs. We have been able to take a few walks using crampons and Kayla has been able to play Stick in the backyard.
