Some opportunistic locals did some minor tree trimming and deemed the trail by our house to be re-opened. Last year, the local club members deemed the trail to be in need of maintainance and “closed” it. Since the portion near the pond is still closed due to an attempt at developing and selling the property over there, the idea that the trail is “open” now is debatable.

However, a sign suggesting one can take the trail to a newly opened bar and grill down by the pond may be the primary reason for re-opening of said trail. Since there is about a half mile between the ending of the trail on the state highway and the location of the bar and grill, the travelers will need to ride on the shoulder of the highway to get there. Should be fun after a beer or two….
