After a wet Spring, a modest Summer, we have a Fall drought in process here in south-central Maine. The beaver bog-now-pond shown here is as low as we can remember since the beavers dammed it. We have had a tremendous foliage explosion for most of the year since the 8 inches of rain that fell in March.
