Weekend at the bog
We have not patrolled the beaver bog for over two weeks. During today we journeyed out for a couple of miles. There is not much evidence of human activity but plenty of deer and small game have left their marks. A few turkey tracks are also out there. The unusually warm winter weather has kept the snow-machine traffic to a minimum.
Here is example of the trails where there is exposure to the sun: bare ground. The small bridge spans the partially frozen and snow covered bog creek.
