Late winter 2009
More late winter images: the ponds still have several feet of ice but you need to know where; slow melting continues: no more snow on the roof; streams are filling slowly and flood danger is low.
We are getting cold nights and warmer, mostly, days: perfect for the maple syrup. Ice sheets form on stream surfaces and slowly dissipate during the mornings. There is, of course, more and more mud. The greens have survived again.
