It has been a quiet week except for Wednesday evening when the blogdog No. 1 found a porcupine in the driveway. Before I could get him away, he got a chin-full of quills. I estimate about 20 quills and I was able to pull them all out with a pair of pliers. A quick trip to the vet indicated no problems. No photos exist of this event. Here is an out-of-focus butterfly captured while I was waiting for a humming bird.
