Thank-you for your compliments; and I have others to thank: I have always liked taking pictures and the advent of computerized image manipulation has made it possible for me to enhance my understanding and make it easy to show it to others. I note this week that several gentlemen were awarded Nobel prizes for the development of the CCD, otherwise known as the Charge Coupled Device – the essential component of the digital camera that converts light/photons into electronic media; another fellow was awarded the Nobel for his idea of the fibre-optic cable, the pipeline that allows so much digitized information to be shared by all. I extend my thanks to these thinkers and the people who have noticed and recognized their contributions.
