Some images from the post TS Irene era around the beaver bog: this image at left is a unique triple play of uprooted trees, two of them the size of telephone poles. Their downfall was the overly soaked ground.

The tree shown below was in solid ground and ended up snapping like a toothpick. Broken trees like this one are a rarity around the bog; damage overall was quite minimal.
