It is a national emergency that we don’t spend more money on planetary missions; how many voyagers and opportunity-like rovers would $6 billion Wall money get us? It is enough to make you cry.
A loon meandering around on Poggy Bay in Connecticut a few weeks ago suddenly dove and came up with a fish. I had several shots with better angles but the focus wasn’t sharp. This is the best of the set and you can make out part of the fish before it disappeared down the loon’s throat.
Despite the size of the fish, it was swallowed in an instant.
