First image is from School-House road, looking southward across the great marsh to the bay west of the Money Point peninsula (the bay has a name on Google Maps but I have never heard of it and authenticity on Google Maps is typically suspect, my opinion). If you look way back in the background, you can see Rufus Allen’s house.
At left is a shot from the Poggy Bay dock and right-of-way. Key take-away is the shoreline ice. This is salt water from the Atlantic Ocean. Ice = COLD, COLD, COLD!!!!
