Birds on the ice pond



We snuck into Conn. to quarantine for a few days. Due to apparent restrictions on migration imposed on the avian community (their china division, of course, caused this whole hoax, right?), large birds have not been coming to Maine. So, we had to go find them.
The blue heron, above, is probably a regular. I have photos of them on this pond-side dock from previous years. This particular bird looks like an old-timer, or, he just woke up?
