Bridge over the beaver bog creek

There is something going on in the back forty involving a small bridge over the primary feed stream to the beaver bog. Just last week while on patrol we found the bridge functionally restored (1st image). During the summer it had been taken out of service by someone (I have assumed it was my neighbor to the south who has an ongoing disagreement with the local and transient machineiacs; this disagreement has precipitated the virtual closing – to any passersby – of the former railway trail that represents our mutual property line). As you can see, the surface platform planks were removed and strewn about (2nd image).
I have now come to the conclusion that it may not have been my neighbor (the bridge crosses the beaver bog creek as part of a tributary trail going south from the railway trail, and is entirely on my neighbor’s property) because he apparently is now an invalid and has trouble walking. He also is more thorough when creating barriers to access on the various trails through his property. He would not have left the materials lying around that would enable the enemy to resurrect the bridge so easily – however his physical condition may explain the half-hearted approach.
