From the coast of Connecticut, we caught the second day of the year’s sunset off the little beach. While this was looking like an impressive setting, the wide, low band of clouds blocked the sun significantly and did not allow the higher clouds to be highlighted once the sun set.
The sun peaked out below the cloud band and just before it set behind Noank.
More images from Christmas morning; it was below freezing overnight and about 32f at daybreak. The sun helped create fog over the bog and creek.
You can see the fog through the woods above bridge Bravo. The Christmas eve rain has temporarily flooded the creek. It has almost wrapped around the far end of the bridge.
To the right of the bridge in the background is the area where we first spotted the racoon (see previous posting).
