A trip to the pond this morning resulted in losing count of the birds at fifty; the ratio of canada geese to all other birds was probably 95%. This is a small flotilla from Saturday morning – or maybe Friday?

The continuous daily feeding of the birds at the Thomason bird sanctuary sometimes results in many birds trying make a quick getaway. This kind of event is difficult to capture in single-shot photography, but here is a sample. I think there is twelve birds in this view – and some were cropped out of the original shot: many birds visit the feeding area.
