While visiting the Ice Pond (Mystic CT) the other day, we found the usual congregation of Canadian tourists on the pond. As we approached, they started honking and appeared to be bothered by Uncle Tommy’s approach. They lined up for their usual take-off and scram mode; off they went!!!
Before departing, they looked like this (see below).
Our game camera was set up along the shore line of the beaver pond for the last month. We have gotten a number of images of the ducks (mallards, mergansers, black, and pintails). Shown here may be a pintail.
Last week I moved the camera to the path leading to the beaver dam with hopes of getting some pictures of beavers. Unfortunately, the camera was dislodged by the animal shown below. I think it is a squirrel.
Before the camera was disrupted, it did get a picture of a deer.
