[Right] As the sun moved below the horizon, the light alters and reflects less and less on some areas.

On our latest scouting trip out beyond the beaver bog we found this full size hive. It had bees going in and out, so it appears to be in use. The relatively small branch it is attached to doesn’t bode well for its longterm success.
While it is in an open space and maybe 100 feet off the trail, easily visible while walking by, I do not remember seeing it before. We have not been walking by this spot very often this year, so it may be a structure built this year.
We will now keep an eye on it and report as needed.
