Late fall

Approaching the end-of-year holiday season. Not much excitement and semi-quarantining is the rule. This means visiting local stores as little as possible and staying home. Sherry does mostly Zooming and goes to the office about once a week. A couple of property showings have been conducted recently.

The last two weeks have been worse for me, suffering from aches-pains-and-no-covid symptoms. The Kayla has made it past intermediate dog training; she is slowly improving.

We visited Mystic at the end of October (see mallards over the Ice Pond, at left).

There has been little excitement in the nearby woods. Despite the pandemic, there has not been many travelers out there. It is now hunting-with-guns season and we have seen a few probable hunters.

Made it to Day #200

Last Friday was day #200 of the blogdog’s Coronal Retirement. Retirement with quarantining has been unusual; quarantining with retirement has been pretty easy. Since we are not supposed to go anywhere, it is convenient that I have nowhere I have to go. During our first months of retirement, we were going to travel. Now, we travel mostly within the local hundred acres or so,. Every so often, we venture out to Connecticut or, like last weekend, to northern forests.

We had strong winds last Wednesday and this is a result. This is on the snow machine trail near the house.
