Christmas eve morning
The wild weekend began with six inches of snow Friday afternoon into evening. In the afternoon on Saturday it began to snow, then freezing rain, then rain. The temperature never went above freezing. The previously ice covered steps were scraped multiple times, sometimes removing ice accumulations, sometimes not.
As you can see here, today looks like a nice, at least partially, sunny day. Morning temp is 27f. This latest round of snow has put us into the snow-shoe zone. Last Tuesday, we did a little patrol by foot to the bog on a day off. The six inch snow depth was maximum for my boots.
The forecast is for nine to twelve inches of snow on Christmas day. The ice accumulations from yesterday are minimal, a quarter inch at most.
