While investigating the entertainment along the Boothbay shoreline last weekend, The sudden appearance of a lone cormorant popping up out of the water along the dock surprised me. At first, he appeared like the image on the left and then dove under the dock heading away from me. Of course, I was not ready to get a picture, so I waited hoping it would return. In about five to ten minutes, he did come back toward me and I got these shots.
