Final on Yellowstone
The last of the Yellowstone set gives us an image from Dad’s visit to Old Faithful. The index entry says, “OF at last!”
Just a note: I have not cropped any of the images from Dad’s 1951 collection. I have applied, in some cases, modern image manipulation. The Old Faithful image is brighter than the original and crowd is more visible, for example. I was not successful in getting rid of the blue tint but I did try.
The second image, #112a, shows a kneeling gentleman in front of a structure with the phrase, FLOOR SHOW, in big letters which may be lighted at night. Below this, on the side of the building, I can make out the words, “Cowboy Bar.” The index says, “Jackson Wyo.”
This evening I digitized the entire grouping for “Saipan” and found no photograph worth saving. The third image here is typical of this group. All are out of focus in the background and only the immediate foreground is in focus, if anything is there at all.
