Glimpses of Guam 1951
The last batch of slides, about twenty, is grouped as “Guam scenery.”
The overall quality of this group of slides is low. Most are out-of-focus (which could come from the age of the media or the quality of my digital capture, as well as the photographer). While there are a number of data processing tricks available to improve imperfectly captured images, there are few solutions for correcting focus issues.
The first slide today, #23a, is labeled as “Apra harbor.” I applied colorization and an attempt at sharpening the image (correcting its focus). The purple-bluish fringe colors are due to my color manipulations.
The second image here is Dad, Janet (Skip’s mom), a little boy named Buzz, and a little girl named Judy Lee. At least that is what the index says in various entries. The actual entry for slide #29 is “Us & Jeep.” If this is really 1951, Skip would have been around three years old.
Image-3 shows “Me, Dusty, etc.” Dusty seems to be the dog. Again, I don’t think the little boy is Skip. Slide #35 is labeled, “Buzz & Judy Lee,” and here they are:

The image of the four of them has image sharpening applied.
The group shown in image-4 is the “Team.” I don’t think Dad is in this photo – he must be behind the camera …..
