Images from the farm
The weather in northern Maryland has been unseasonably chilly most of this week so far: overnight temperatures into the mid-thirties is weird. The farm yard inhabitants, like the birds, are going about their business and the cows are not perplexed. The brief visit of two geese in the field across the street is unusual. We are not sure why they decided to stop here. They did not seem interested in food (the soybean seeds are freshly in the ground and not accessible). We have had a half-day of rain and the sun (with turbulent warm air) are due to arrive today.
The first two days of our visit were accompanied by strong winds. On the trip down, we had to stop and crawl twice on New Jersey interstates due to good sized trees falling into the roadway. The wind has made it seem even chillier.
