May rain brings Spring floods
We picked up over 5 inches of rain in barely 30 hours during May 1 and 2. This part of the outlet stream (above) from the Beaver bog is across the road from us. During the last few Augusts, it was nearly dry from our drought conditions.

Here is the dam at the beaver bog. Plenty of water roaring over its entire expanse. The trail bridge seen at left remained in place. Three other bridges on the trail did not fair as well and were impassable.
Two days later the stream was still high and only one of the stressed bridges was passable.
