On the lake 2022

Last week we spent five days at our favorite cabin at the Woodbound Inn in Rindge, NH. While it was the summer solstice, it didn’t seem like summer yet. We didn’t have bad weather but it was variable, such as rain storms for a few minutes off and on throughout one day.
Here you can see the view of Mt. Monadnock and the sunset one evening (yes, the mountain appears as a thin dark line at the top of the cloud bank).

The Inn was at capacity due to two weddings scheduled for Saturday on the beach next to us. Of course, rehearsals occurred on Friday, so we had nearly endless entertainment for the two days. This added to our usual entertainment of watching the almost uncountable variety of watercraft and people passing by on the lake. This year, many of us also went swimming (for the five days we were there, Sherry and John were joined by friends, Pete & Marilyn, and Jack & Allison on the weekend).
On Saturday, Pete and John hiked from the Inn to Cathedral of the Pines and return (about 5 miles roundtrip).
