Osprey tracking

During the recent visit to Connecticut, we get to the osprey nest by walking down Schoolhouse road. By stepping slowly and carefully until about 20-30 yards away, I got a picture of both birds before they flew away. My goal was to get past the nest so that the setting sun would be behind me. That strategy also required the birds to actually return to the nest.
This worked on one day and I got the in-flight pictures shown in the previous post. The next day, they flew across the Great Marsh to sit in the trees. After waiting awhile, I gave up and headed to the other side of the marsh.

When I got to the Money Point road side of the marsh, the birds had returned to the nest across the marsh, as shown here.
On the first day tracking the birds, I had a deer [see below] run across the Great Marsh while waiting for the birds to return!
