Along one of the smaller creeks that feed the beaver bog area, we found a tree where a porcupine lived. We know this is a porcupine den, or was, because there is a large dung pile at the base of the tree. The porcupines may not be here anymore.

From the coast of Connecticut, we caught the second day of the year’s sunset off the little beach. While this was looking like an impressive setting, the wide, low band of clouds blocked the sun significantly and did not allow the higher clouds to be highlighted once the sun set.
The sun peaked out below the cloud band and just before it set behind Noank.
