Here is a close-up of one of the egrets that (maybe) sleep in the trees surrounding the pond. We saw five on Fri. evening but others have reported that “hundreds” sometimes appear. We also are not sure if they actually sleep all night sitting on branches of these trees. This one looks like it is hunkered down and ready for a long rest.
