A magnificent pileated woodpecker has been in the neighborhood for at least a month; this is the first chance at getting an image of her. In attempting to get a better angle and closer shot, I spooked her and she took off. When she is in the vicinity it is not difficult to find her: her hammering is as loud as a carpenter.
