We are due for a freak nine to twelve-inch snow storm tonight and tomorrow (as is the whole east coast); these images from this past week are from our successful visit to the pond on Thursday, a trip which resulted in three herons being seen and captured on disk (no longer “film”). Here is the pair down by the pond after almost five minutes or more of wandering around while I took their picture. The third heron was up at the beaver bog creek and flew away as we passed it going to the pond.
