We received over seven inches of snow last Thursday and we are receiving three or four more today. Here the creek is still running but is becoming partially frozen. The snow machines have not appeared but it is not unusual for them to wait for a base of snow to settle in before starting the season. Since the local trail going by our house is connected to the western trail network via Woodbury Pond and the pond is not yet frozen, the appearance of snow machines is not likely. We have not seen anyone doing trail maintenance and there are many spots where tree falls will make travel slow going, especially if one does not have a chain saw.
