This past week had a snowstorm of about twelve or fourteen inches (Wednesday); this was the storm that has been labeled as a “super” storm but that seems an exaggeration. The storm apparently was mostly rain in Boston and caused some roofs to collapse. We will be getting five to nine inches tonight (Saturday).

The first images are from a noon-time walk on the local snow-mobile trail. There is more interesting places off the trail but we have reached snow depths that require snow shoes for any trips off-trail. Right now a pair of snowshoes will suffice for me and the blogdog can still manage, especially if he lets me go first (he doesn’t like that).
