Our search for Maine hummingbirds originated from the memory that we have had them around our flowers at various times in earlier years, and, after seeing hummingbirds at Brother Tom’s in Mystic earlier this year, we pulled out this feeder and have waited patiently for visitors. We have seen one hummingbird this year around our hostas. Over the past two weeks, the hummingbird has visited the feeder two or three times without getting any nectar. It appeared confused.

However, today it showed up twice and drank nectar for about fifteen seconds each time. Of course, my camera was elsewhere at the time.
