the January version

Here are more images from my recent river side walk in Augusta. This season’s climate has continued with many really cold days in between warm (almost 40f) hours. The precipitation has been sparse (officially “moderate drought”) and sometimes it is rain!

My opportunities to get my daily dog walks in has been challenged by some gusty and windy days. I have gotten my big, thick winter coat out for the first time in years just to brave the windy winter. Yet, our snow cover is very low (or zero for many days at a time).
It hasn’t been unusual for it to be 13f in the a.m. and then warming to the 30s and rain in the evening. This apparently is the result of the record high temperature averages for us (and the rest of the world).
