The snow machine trail down to the lake is being renovated as part of a new five house residential sub-development. Substantial tree pruning and wholesale clearing has occurred from the state highway to the lake’s edge. You can now see the lake at the center of the picture, perhaps 300 yards. Before the widening this view was not possible.

It is too early to tell if this work will limit the ability of the snow machiniacs to traverse this section of the statewide trail system once houses are constructed. Evidence of any re-routing work has been non-existent.
