Trekking
Before our recent flurry of snow every other day, we returned to the far bog and got pictures of the beaver’s work. This one is a favorite because they started on the tree years ago and abandoned it. Then last year they completed the take-down but have not done anything with their work product.
The tracks around it are probably deer. I think the beavers are hibernating (will have to look this up). There is no evidence of activity around their lodge.
We managed to get out today on the trail. I was prepared with snow shoes to go off track but Murphy found the 24-30 inches of snow tough to manage. He liked following deer and squirrel tracks but he found the packed down snow machine trail more to his liking.
I had to make a path with the snow shoes to get him to follow me to the bog’s edge.
